Today the Croatian version of my TEArrific stamp set arrived (so anyone interested in this set just email me at janebeljo@yahoo.ca). The English on is in our shop! :)

I created this card using watercolors and heat embossing...so easy and quick! I apologize for the photos....my background paper has a sheen and I just don't have the strength to go and take more photos! :)

mother's day

Hello!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

It's my turn on the JD blog and I'm sharing a card I created (pretty easy and quick) using our Patterns for Him and Mother's Flowers (for the sentiment) stamp sets. I tried to use string on my card....I've been seeing a lot of string on cards and it looks awesome...only I don't think I did a very good job at it! LOL!

Usually I use flowers for my Mother's Day cards with pretty pinks, yellows etc. but I've been loving this gold glitter paper and thought I'd take a whole different approach.

I heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder and added some pearls to balance everything out.

Have a great day!

Baked Lemon Cake Donuts

Hello!

Hope you're enjoying what's left of the weekend!

I didn't plan on doing any baking but I saw this recipe on Divas Can Cook and I had all the ingredients on hand so voila.....Baked Lemon Cake Donuts! :)
These donuts are lemony and super moist!! I forgot to butter my donut pan but managed to get them out without too much damage! I did my own glaze...which is also milk, lemon juice and powdered sugar...just I use less sugar that's all! (btw 1 tablespoon of butter equals 14 grams).

friday favourites on a saturday

Hi!

Hope all is well!
Popping in to share some pins, goodies, etc.

First up is this wedding card I had to make like in 5 mintues....love how it turned out and it's all because of the GORGEOUS gold, glittery paper I found!!! It's thick and gorgeous! LOVE! :)

My daughter Mia went to a birthday party today (her best friend's sister and they're our neighbour too) so I popped into Benetton to buy her present and while I was waiting to pay I noticed these GORGEOUS notebooks....these three caught my eye but really all of them have awesome designs.
Pop by the site and check out the other ones...if you're a fan of graphic patterns you'll love them...here's a bit of info on the web....
'Wherever you are, write down your thoughts on one of the new notebooks designed by Fabrica forBenetton. In twelve assorted graphics, they’re the result of the creative mind of Catarina Carreiras, a Portuguese graphic designer.'

They have mugs too! The orange ones are my favourite! :)

LOVE the pop of colour!

I'm loving this mint and gold combo!!

And finally this handmade ceramic bowl by Marina and you can find these gorgeous bowls along with other ceramic beauties at Marina's etsy shop Marina Marinski Ceramics (which is located in Croatia thank you very much!!).

That's it! :)

Have a great weekend!

thanks

Hello!

Hope all is well!

Pinterest has become of my morning routine...I like to browse around while drinking my coffee or tea and the other day I came across this and thought I'd give it a try using my stamps! :)

I used our Roses, Pretty Peonies, Doodle Flowers, Attached to you and another stamp set which is not available yet (a little sneak peek if you will!). I used my water colours and some glitter glue that I added on the flowers...it's very pretty in real life. For some of the flowers I drew them with a black pen/marker.

And now to announce the winner of my Roses stamp set!

just a note

Hi!

Hope you all had a lovely Easter!

I wanted to share this card today...it's a little sneak peek new JD stamps ....like I mentioned before I hand draw my designs on paper and then scan them etc. I always print out my designs first to get a feel of the sizing and if they would be good for colouring, paper piecing, etc. I couldn't help but colour this owl and make a card!

I also used our Geometric Patterns stamp set for my background and did a little bit of heat embossing. Finally my new heat gun arrived!! And did I mention that it's PINK! :)

For the sentiment I used a SRM sticker. And to colour my owl I used Graph'it markers.

And just a reminder of our sale.....it lasts until Sunday (April 27th).

Have a great day!

TGIF + pinterest love + giveaway

Hello!

Hope all is well!
My Mia had a fever yesterday but is doing much better today...BUT Jakov has been throwing up since this morning and has now fell asleep on the couch with a bucket by his head poor thing! :(

First thing!!

Pop on over to our shop! :)

Well...I like to show things I pinned on Pinterest every now and then and thought maybe I could make this a regular thing every Friday. I've read blogs where some women feel Pinterest actually is more stress than inspiration and that's how I felt at the beginning...why can't I do all these diy's and recipes, why aren't I as productive as some of these women I'm pinning......yeah...I stopped that!!!!!! I don't put that stress on myself anymore....Pinterest is NOT my to do list!!! It's where I go to feel inspired and yes sometimes I actually get around to doing or making some of the things I pinned...but it's more like a mood board for me to inspire me!

So here are some sweet Easter pins I'd like to share! :)

Love this idea!

Also I wanted to do a little giveaway!! I've got two extra Roses stamp sets so I'll give one away here on the blog and one on my instagram so if you're interested in winning this stamp set please leave a comment and I'll announce the winner on Tuesday! :)

Have a great day!

clay bunny

Hello!
Hope all is well! :)

If you follow me on instagram you'll know that I finally cracked open the clay I bought a while a go and this bunny is the result! :) I have to say I need to learn quite a lot about working with clay but for my first time I'm pleased.

I decided to make a bunny because Easter is around the corner and also it's a simple shape. To make sure the ears are stable I adhered them to the body with toothpicks.

I painted the bunny with acrylic paints (which I need to go buy more of) and added the slightest hint of brown here and there to give it a distressed look. And once the paint was dry I added a coat of varnish.

That's it for now...hope you have a great day!

bunny banner

Hello!
Hope all is well! :)

I'm sharing my bunny banner today!
After cutting my bunnies out I stamped on the black and white bunnies using our Easter Time and Geometric Patterns stamp sets.

I stamped polka dots using gold ink and added some white sequins and for the black bunny I just stamped the sentiments over and over to cover the bunny. For the kraft paper bunnies I just added a white felt tail! :)

I punched tiny holes in the ears and just threaded some string through them.

I couldn't get a clear photo of the banner by the window so for the sake of photos I put the banner over my stove (but I'm keeping it by the window).

Here's a free template....I still haven't figured out why there's a light grey background...because it's totally white when I open the file in photoshop...perhaps it's blogger??? I'll have to get my husband to take a look at it.

Have a great day

diy toilet paper roll bunnies

Hello!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

I've got another project using toilet paper rolls that's great for kids and all you kid at heart folks! :)
Depending on how old your children are the most difficult part is cutting it out just because of the shape but the rest is easy peasy!

So first you'll want to cut out the shape...I just out lined the ears with a white pencil....you'll want to use small sharp scissors and I found it easier to cut toward my left if that makes sense.

Once you've cut out your bunny but out your white acrylic paint (or any colour you want) and I found two coats were enough.

For this bunny I did a little paper piecing.....just choose the paper you want and adhere it to the ears (I also covered it with glitter glue to add a little sparkle).

I drew the eyes, nose and mouth but you could add googly eyes too.

Don't forget the bunny's tail! :) Cotton balls will do the trick!

I added a touch of 'blush' by dabbing and blending some pink ink.

For the other bunny I didn't do any paper piecing and just drew all my details, coloured them in with marker and added some glitter.

I'll be doing this with my kids....we just need one more toilet paper roll! :)

Have a great day!

ti si SUPER!

Hello!

TGIF people!!! phew! It's a pretty awesome Friday for me because my kids are on Easter holiday which means no school next week and I could catch up with everything now that we are all over the flu!

Here's a card I created using our Patterns for HimCroatian SentimentsJungle Baby and I Got This stamp sets. The speech bubbles are a freebie I drew up.

I stamped the chevron pattern onto green cardstock and adhered it with foam dots for some dimension.
I added some glitter glue over the arrows, hearts and word SUPER. I also added a little watercolor over the sentiment.

Have a great weekend!
