Halloween Fimo Buttons Giveaway

Hey!! So AWESOM to see all those comments!! Just popping in to say hi...don't have much time for the blog this week (every spare minute I have I'm baking my buttons....and I found some glittery purple and black fimo that I'll be throwing in the mix!!). Got a lot of other things going on...DIY projects around the house and major major see you all Friday when I announce the winner!!

Here we are at another one of my handmade fimo buttons giveaways! I made them in yummy traditional Halloween colours (purple, orange and green)....couldn't find any black fimo (don't think I'll have time to pop into town) so I'll throw in some of Martha Stewart's Spider Confetti.

I invite everyone to play along (including former winners)...only rule I have really is to leave one comment. Maybe you can tell me what Christmas colour combo you'd like to see for the next fimo buttons giveaway (pink and green, red, green and gold, blue and silver...)??? I'll announce my winners on Friday (that will give me enough time to polish off the buttons and pack them up). Also I owe a few ladies some of my buttons....and hope to have that ready by Friday as well.

Feel free to post about this giveaway (you can add the photo if you like) or just spread the news...the more the merrier!

Good luck!

you're the best

I can't believe I made two cards in ONE day!!! This is a photo card of Jakov when he was 3 months sweetness!!!

I stamped Hero Arts Antique Brocade Cling on yellow cardstock and then drew the giraffe and cut it out. I coloured the edges a bit with a yellow Derwent pencil to give the giraffe more definition.

Now I'm off to making dinner and cleaning up!

another photo card

I received some new Hero Arts stamps yesterday which included my very first CLING stamp!!! and I LOVE it!!!!!!!!! I had this photo of me and my husband on our wedding day that got ruined (my daughter got her hands on it a while back) and thought of my Making Memories tag maker and how it would be perfect for the heart shape rim. ROMANTIC!!!

I used Making Memories's soooo HARD to let go of yummy patter paper!! Also Lucy totally got me hooked on string!!!

Anyways, that's it for are doing better...a few more day and they should 100%!
I don't think I'll make any cards this weekend........I really need to catch up on my buttons....I owe a few ladies some of my buttons and I'm planning a Halloween fimo buttons giveaway next week.
Have a great weekend!! xo

Marko Beljo IS Spiderman!

I couldn't resist using this picture for the Hero Arts Challenge this week which is to make a photo card. I LOVE making photo pocket's fun pulling out the photo to see the whole picture.

I made a tiny mistake on the card (when it was 99.9 percent done so I saved it with the little spider stamp on the bottom!!)

I stamped the web on the photo and card.....used some black stickles to add a little bling. I distressed the card too to make it look cobwebby and weathered (that's how I'm feeling right now.....all 3 of my kids are SICK!!).

If you were wondering who the REAL Spider Man is well it's Marko of coarse!!!

I'll add the materials later on today..........have a great day!!
material - stamps (Hero Arts), Basic Grey brads, my fimo button, black Stickles, Derwent pencils, ribbon, spider confetti (Martha Stewart), ink (Adirondack Pitch Black, Versamark Dazzle)

Halloween Treat Bags

Halloween isn't really celebrated here in Croatia....everyone knows about it but there's no trick-or-treating...I noticed that my neighbour carves a pumpkin and puts a candle in it and I just love them for it! ;)
For the past few years I've been hosting a Halloween party for our family and friends...they get a 'HOOT' out of the decorations and love my brownies and apple pie. And I do hand out treat for my kids schoolmates and the neighbourhood kids. Which brings me to this....

These Halloween treat bags were totally inspired by Michelle Wooderson who is the BOMB!!! This woman ROCKS!!! I always find inspiration on her blog! I've always used plastic bags when I did these treat bags but I got the idea from Mish to use paper bags.

I will be handing these babies out....well this is one of the designs I have in mind....I'll be posting more treat bags in the next few days. (you can click on the photos for a closer look)

I had such fun with this treat bag....I embossed the paper bag using the cuttlebug and I used this ADORABLE Halloween stamp set by Hero Arts. Once again I went to town with the black stickles. The buttons are my handmade fimo buttons.

Anyways, I'll leave a list of the materials I used later on....gotta put Jakov down for his nap.
materials - stamps (Hero Arts CL239), inks (Adirondack Pitch Black, ColorBox chalk ink), Stickles (Black Diamond), ribbon, string, my handmade fimo buttons, Cuttlebug embossing folder, clothes pin, pop dots, gel pen (glitter), nestabilities circle die.

BIG smile

Hero Arts challenge last week was about learning. I have learned so much from the Hero Arts blog and all the talented ladies on the Hero Arts Flickr group. I decided to use Card Patterns new sketch and my new Hero Arts stamps for both challenges!

So here's my card.......I decided to let go of some of my yummy Basic Grey pattern paper!!! I have such a hard time letting go of Pattern Paper!! lol

Some of the things I've learned are masking, using gel pens on your stamped images to accent them more (like I did on the dots and wings of the owl....I also out lined the clouds with Spica's Clear glitter pen)

Also stamping on top of another stamped image (like I did with the loopy boarder stamp on my clouds block stamp)....and stamping on pattern paper (like I did with the hearts on PTI's pattern paper) such a simple thing yet I never thought of it on my own!!!
(click on the photo for a closer look)

Anyways, that's it for now.....hope you all have a great day!
materials - Hero Arts stamps (LP131, S5215, CL168), cardstock, pattern paper (Basic Grey, Papertrey Ink), ribbon, Making Memories heart shape tag, gel pens, ink (ColorBox chalk inks, My Mind's Eye color wheel), pop dots

first grade and the BIG 7

I can't help but get emotional writing up this post! My baby is in first grade and turning 7 on Saturday!!

I can only say that it's pure joy and torture watching them grow up! Slow down......please slow down and don't grow up so fast!!

I'll be very busy this week preparing for his party. I'm making these little treats for him to bring to school on Friday to hand out to his classmates.

I started last night and was fussing over the colours (gotta keep them neutral) etc when I reminded myself.....they are a bunch of 7 year old who will appreciate the 'pretty paper' for about 10 seconds before they rip into them to get to the good stuff!!!

After Marko's inspections (the one that's farthest can see it's a little worn after Marko's poking and squeezing!! lol) he gave me the thumbs up on the design. I have to make 25 (one for Mia) by Friday!!

That's it for me.......have a great day!!

Yippie! I recieved Honorable Mention for this Hero Arts Challenge!

I think whether you have children or not you have to know how to multi task to keep up with life these days!! So I'm using this sketch for the Caardvarks challenge....

......and these yummy colours for the Hero Arts challenge which is fall colours. I just love the traditional Halloween colours so I made this card......isn't this owl too cute! I coloured her in with my Derwent pencils and used black stickles on her hat and cape.
(click on picture for a larger view)
If I were to put on a cape and hat in the morning this is pretty much what I would look like before my morning coffee!! ;)

Have a great day!

preschool, first grade, a birthday.....

forgot about I mentioned Mia started preschool this week and I gave her teachers (she has two) some yummy Bajadera chocolates! This was so last minute...I didn't even measure out my papers just slapped everything together in minutes.

yeah.......lots going on here!!! Marko started first grade and I think I'm having a harder time with it!!!;) He's also started his taekwondo again. His birthday is on the 19th and it's a Spider Man event! I will be making some treats for his class. Mia is back at preschool leaving their little brother Jakov free to snoop through their toys and stuff!!
So basically we're all trying to get some kind of schedule going...not much time left for cards....I'm neck deep in making buttons.....for Kate's Card drive, etc.

Before I go I wanted to share something I saw on Michelle's blog (LOVE this woman!!).....Flea Market Style Magazine! I'm loving it!!

Anyways hopefully I'll have some thing crafty to post soon!
bye! xo

I just made it on time for this weeks Hero Arts challenge which is to make a MANLY card!! AND this card is perfect for the CardPatterns challenge too!! Bonus!

so here it is......

My husband is the inspiration behind this card. He likes things very simple, plain and no PINK!! lol. Putting on a shirt and tie is torture (did you all know that Croatians (Hrvati) invented the tie (kravati)!?........he LOVES soccer, meat, the outdoors and he's the best tata (daddy) in the world!!

I stamped the log to make my own pattern paper and framed my sentiment with Making Memories Tag maker. The button is my handmade button. I pretty much use only my buttons and not because I think they're the best but I don't want to use my other buttons (I have PTI, Basic Grey and Making Memories buttons) because they are too pretty to use so that's why I started making my own!!! lol

That it for now........have a great Sunday.....hopefully a nice relaxing one!!

stamps - Hero Arts LP130
string, my handmade fimo button, Making Memories metal tag rim
ink - ColorBox Chalk ink in dark brown, Adirondack Earthtones pitch black
