I LOVE lipstick! I can really get carried away with lipsticks and nail polishes! I was at the pharmacy the other day and noticed L'erbolario make up (L'erbolario is an Italian company and I've used some of their body products). I was in a hurry so I quickly checked out the lipsticks and I need to go back to take a better look. I LOVE all the colours!
Also I wanted to share a recipe I tried out for the first time. We went to our best friends and I brought this cake with us (this is all that was left), it's a yummy easy vanilla cake with cream cheese frosting. Check it out here.
I want to share what's going on with Jane's Doodles and I'll start with this card. I'm drawing up a birthday/cake themed set and here's a little peek. This cake is my hand drawn one, I like to colour and cut them out to get an idea of size, etc. (I think I will make this cake a pinch smaller for the actual set).
I made my stripe background with my Stripes and Dots stamp set. Coloured with Graph'it markers.
But before I release this set we will be releasing these two sets (I'm expecting them any day now).
I made brownies (a few batches) for Valentine's day. A family favourite. They don't long in this house!;) I know I shared this recipe before but here it is again (some have asked after seeing these photos on my instagram).
1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for my Croats I use oštro brašno)
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt (if using salted butter than skip this)
6 Tbsp. butter (85 grams)
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/3 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. (180 degrees C.). Grease 8 x 8 inch metal baking pan. In a small bowl combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
2. In saucepan, melt butter on low. Remove saucepan from heat; with spatula, stir in sugar, then eggs, 1 at a time, and vanilla until well blended. Stir in flour mixture. Spread batter in prepared pan; sprinkle with chocolate chips if using.
3. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in brownies 2 inches from center comes out almost clean. Cool brownies completely in pan on wire rack (if you cut into them while they are still warm it'll be tricky cutting them because they are just too soft).
4. When cool, cut brownies into 4 stripes, then cut each strip crosswise into 4 squares.
Note: I know my Croats will be tempted to mix this but DON'T! Step away from your mixer! Pick up that spatula or a spoon and just stir everything until well blended....trust me. ;)

Hello and welcome to our Spotlight Blog Hop featuring my Love stamp set. This set is perfect for Valentine's Day and every and any day! I didn't officially 'release' this set so I thought since it's Valentine's Day on Sunday we can do a fun blog hop with a giveaway and a 20% off sale! Yay!
The words 'love', 'you' and 'me' are hand written by me and the elements as usual are hand drawn by me too.
I thought I would make a little treat bag using SRM's glassine bag. I stamped 'love' over the whole front and I also did second generation stamping (so I inked up the stamp, stamped it once and then again without inking it up to get a more faded image). Also I used StazOn ink in Jet Black so there is no smudging.
I made a simple tag. Cut out two hearts and on the bigger heart I stamped the pattern all over it.
Throw in some cookies (homemade, store bought...it doesn't matter) and you got yourself a sweet little gift! ;)
I also made a matching card. I did the same thing like I did on the bag, stamped 'love' all over it (and did second generation stamping too). I personally love how it looks just as is.....
...but you could make the same tag and add it to the card.
Now it's time to hop and if you'd like to win a Jane's Doodles stamp set of your choice please leave comments as you hop. I will announce the winner on Monday.
I got some happy mail today. Design team member Marion sent me this magazine and as you can see for yourself her card featuring Seamus made the cover! I'm sold out on Seamus but you can pop on over to SRM and grab him!
Valentine's Day is coming up so I thought a 'love' card is called for. I don't think Valentine's Day is only for couples. It's a day to celebrate love and this card would make a cute Valentine for a friend, sister, brother, neighbour, etc.
The last few years of highschool I worked at Smart Set (a clothing store) at Woodbridge Mall and the shop next to us was Mrs. Field's Cookies!!! Yeah, that's right! And one of my favourites was the white chocolate macadamia nut cookies...I'm drooling just writing it!
